Senate Bill 3 expands the list of medical conditions to give doctors more leeway. It also expands drug delivery methods to include smoking and vaporization, as well as extracted oils, edible products, ointments and tinctures. This reintroduction is welcomed news for Marley Wilsons family. Marley is two-year-old and has about five to 10 seizures every couple of days. “I think that would help her activity and get her walking almost being like a normal two year old,” said Andrew Wilson, Marleys father. “I don’t consider seizures every couple of days controlled and I want my child to have a normal, healthy life.” Senators Daylin Leach, (D) 17th District, and Mike Folmer, (R) 48th District, introduced Senate Bill 3 on Tuesday. It’s very similar to the one they passed in September. “This is not about recreational, this is about a well-monitored, safe compassionate access to patients so that patients and their doctors have one more arrow in their quiver to fight whatever disease they’re fighting,” said Sen. Folmer.
